Caustic Soda

Caustic soda is an alkali salt that is also referred as sodium hydroxide because of its corrosive nature. With the chemical formular of NaOH, this chemical prepared by either Castner-Kellner process or Loewigs process has many applications. This stable chemical is water soluble, stable white solid that tastes bitter. Caustic soda is alkaline and is used in applications, like washing soda manufacturing, soda lime preparation, aluminium extraction, etc. It is also demanded in labs to be used as a reagent.
